WHAT'S IN A NAME?
Branding starts with the name. That is, it must be short (2-3 syllables), easy-to-spell and easy-to-remember - and also available in the appropriate domain extension (e.g. .com, .co.nz, etc.). Once we had the name iNeuro - depicting the brain and central nervous system like nature of the product range - we needed a logo.
We quickly recognised the huge (more than half a billion dollars) potential the show had to industry suppliers by being able to get them in front of the most influencial buyers with hugely lucrative contracts. From this arose the whole idea that the show was a Gold Rush for those suppliers - reminesent of the 1800's gold rush on the South Island's West Coast.
We discovered that there were two outstanding factors that gave Ping an instant advantage: the main players were being overly greedy with their pricing structure and no one had thought to focus on their installer network as a marketing channel. It took some cleaver website sales automation software and great marketing collateral, doing the job of a salesperson, to pull it off. Luckily for Ping, this was the sort of thing we do everyday.
